Barrows and Downs

Tilshead, United Kingdom • 11 Oct 2025

The Barrows and Downs event, organized by And Over Trail Events, is a marathon and half marathon set in the historic southern Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England. Participants run among ancient barrows dating back to 3500 BC, enjoying scenic views of the Wiltshire Downs. Both race routes start and finish at Tilshead Water Tower, following byeways and footpaths through chalkland downs.

The course is fully marked, with aid stations offering a variety of refreshments and support from marshals and medical teams. Trail shoes are recommended due to the terrain. Finishers receive medals, and prizes are awarded to top male and female runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
