Trail Racing on the Cumberland Plateau

The Stump Jump 50k and 10 Miler takes place on the sandstone-strewn trails of the Cumberland Plateau. This event utilizes a course that is 90% single-track, located atop Signal Mountain and Walden Ridge. Participants travel through the Tennessee River Gorge, passing cascading streams and coves filled with hemlocks and rhododendrons.

Available distances include:

  • 50k
  • 10 Miles

The 50k distance features an elevation gain of over 5000ft. The route consists primarily of natural trails and technical terrain characteristic of the Chattanooga region. This event is part of a series designed to provide trail racing experiences for both first-time trail runners and experienced athletes.

The race was established as one of the first competitive trail events in the region. It is held annually in March, with the upcoming edition scheduled for March 7, 2026. Registration is open to the public through the designated registration platform. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
