The event in Signal Mountain near Chattanooga, TN offers two distances:

All races start and finish at the Signal Mountain Soccer Fields behind Signal Mountain High School on Sam Powell Road. The course runs mostly on single-track trails atop Signal Mountain and Walden Ridge, with views of the Tennessee River Gorge, streams, hemlock and rhododendron stands, and sandstone-strewn terrain. The event is in its 25th running.

Course services, rules and logistics

Aid stations are stocked with sports drinks and a range of snacks, including chips, pretzels, fruit snacks, mustard packets, Oreos, gels, and soft drinks. The 50K has a 10-hour overall cutoff, with intermediate cutoffs at mile 14.2 and mile 22.8. The 10 Miler has a 4-hour cutoff with an intermediate cutoff near mile 4.9. No crews or drop bags are allowed. Packet pickup is offered the day before and at the start/finish location on race day. Runners receive shirts, a post-race meal, and beer from a local brewery. Camping is available on the soccer fields; tent sites are allowed, RVs are allowed without hookups, and pavilion bathrooms are accessible. Take on the Rabid Raccoon 25K, a scenic trail run atop Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga winding counter clockwise across rugged singletrack. All finishers earn a campfire mug and proceeds benefit SORBA Chattanooga.

Join a 2 to 3 mile fun run at Lula Lake Preserve followed by the annual polar plunge to fund stewardship of 4,000 acres and the Rock Creek watershed. Only this day can the public swim in Lula Lake and proceeds fund trails and habitat care.

River to Clouds Trail Run in Chattanooga pairs scenic trail races with a lively whiskey festival and live music, creating a finish line party. The event has been postponed to 2027, with big prize purses for the longest races.
