Stump Jump 50K & 10 Miler
The Stump Jump is a trail running event organized by Bad Beard Events in Signal Mountain, near Chattanooga, Tennessee. The course is largely single-track, traversing the Cumberland Plateau and Walden Ridge with views of the Tennessee River Gorge and stream-fed coves lined with hemlock and rhododendron. The event is in its 26th year and offers two distances:

Support on course for the 50K includes multiple aid stations with water, Gatorade, and snacks, and some stations may offer additional items such as sodas, gels, sandwiches, and fruit. Runners are asked to bring a personal cup in addition to regular hydration gear. The 50K has a ten hour finish cutoff and intermediate cutoffs; runners who miss cutoffs may be asked to stop and will be provided transportation to the start/finish area.
Race services include packet pickup the day before at Hello Monty and at the start/finish area on race morning. No crews or drop bags are allowed, but poles are permitted. All entrants receive a race shirt, a post race meal, and complimentary beer from Dynamo Brewing. A portion of race proceeds benefits Signal Mountain Athletics and Chattanooga Cave and Cliff Rescue.
