Stillhouse 100K - Soddy Daisy, TN

The Stillhouse 100K is a trail ultramarathon scheduled for April 17, 2027, in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, organized by Bad Beard Events. The course is an out-and-back of the point-to-point Upchuck 50k and runs on Cumberland Trail singletrack. It includes large climbs and descents into Soddy Creek, Possum Creek, and Rock Creek, with nearly 12,000 feet of elevation gain.

Aid stations are limited on the outbound section, with three full-aid stations located at Heiss Mountain Road (miles 13 and 49), Retro Hughes Road (miles 23 and 39), and Legget Road (mile 31 turnaround). Drop bags are allowed at Heiss Mountain Road, Retro Hughes Road, and Legget Road. Aid station supplies include water, Powerade, prepacked chips, gummy bears, and at the turnaround (mile 31) additional food such as ramen and quesadillas or grilled cheese sandwiches.

Required gear includes a hydration pack, at least 1 liter of water, a shell jacket, an insulating layer, head covering and gloves as needed, a headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries, an emergency blanket when applicable, and nutrition. A drop bag at the turnaround is recommended for a change of clothes and other items.

Pacers are permitted from the turnaround at mile 31 and may be picked up at Legget Road and Heiss Mountain Road. Only one pacer per runner is allowed at a time. Packet pick up is scheduled for April 16 at Hello Monty on Main Street. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
