Backyard Boogeyman

Backyard Boogeyman is a Halloween-themed 13-hour ultra marathon held at Trenton Park in Trenton, Nova Scotia. Runners complete a roughly 4.5 km loop as many times as possible within 13 hours, with no mandatory hourly starts and the option to rest when needed. The atmosphere features glow sticks, spooky trails, and a witching-hour vibe; costumes are optional but grit is required.

The event uses a fully marked trail loop and a minimal aid station offering water, electrolyte drink, and snacks, with participants bringing their own nutrition and gear. Night racing is possible; headlamps and reflective gear are recommended. Cup-free policy and a 75-runner cap apply; team options available.
