The Back to the 80s Run/Walk is a third-annual event taking place in Irving, Texas. It takes place at the Campion Trail, located at 5950 Riverside Dr.

Event Details

The event includes a live DJ playing 80s music and a post-race party. Participants are encouraged to dress in 80s-themed gear. Parking at the location is free.

Race Day Logistics

Packet pickup begins on race day at 6:30 AM. There is a warm-up session scheduled for 7:30 AM, led by ZFT Run Club, followed by the National Anthem. Chip timing is used. Participants are asked to line up with faster runners at the front and walkers/strollers at the back.

The course on the Campion Trail is an out-and-back route. There are restroom facilities at the start/finish line and on the course. Awards are given to the overall male and female finishers, as well as to the top three in each age division. The age divisions are: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.

A participant shirt is offered to those who register before the deadline. The organizer has a strict no-refund policy, and the event proceeds in all weather conditions unless safety becomes a concern. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
