Back Country Trail Run and Mountain Bike Race

On July 19, 2026, Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Elkwater AB will host a trail run and a mountain bike race. The trail run starts at the resort and follows terrain and trails within Cypress Hills Provincial Park.

The trail run offers the following distances:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km

The mountain bike race is approximately 10 km. Both events are open to all age groups and include competitive age group categories. The bike race is timed and uses a staggered start to reduce trail congestion, releasing a group of riders every 30 seconds.

All racers receive a finisher medal and race swag, and age group winners receive additional medals. Participants may register for the trail run, the mountain bike race, or both.
