Awake the Grapes

Event

Awake the Grapes is a vineyard run held at Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria, Minnesota. It is the 15th annual running of the event. Organizers include Awake The Grapes, the Kiwanis Club of Alexandria, and the Alexandria Figure Skating Club. The event features live music, food vendors, the winery tasting room, and a local brewery and pizza vendor on site.

Course and awards

The 5 km course runs around the Carlos Creek Winery property and through onsite vineyards. The 10 km course goes through the winery vineyards and follows public roads near Lake Ida, including County Road 34 and County Road 61, before returning to the winery. Both courses include paved, gravel, and cross-country terrain. Medals will be presented to the top place in each age group for male and female runners in both distances. Overall top male and female awards will also be presented for each race.

Registration and extras

Registrations made before May 3 receive an event t-shirt. Registrations after May 3 receive a drink ticket. There is a donation registration option that allows participants to receive an Awake the Grapes t-shirt without running. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
