Awake the Grapes Vineyard Run : May 24, 2026
The 15th Annual Awake the Grapes Vineyard Run is scheduled for May 24, 2026 at Carlos Creek Winery in Alexandria (County Road 34 Northwest), Minnesota. The event is presented by Awake The Grapes with support from the Kiwanis Club of Alexandria and the Alexandria Figure Skating Club. Race distances offered:
- 5K
- 10K
Course and format
The 5K course runs around the Carlos Creek Winery property and through the onsite vineyards. The 10K route passes through the winery vineyards, goes out to County Road 34, follows the east side of Lake Ida, continues east on County Road 61 to County Road 34, and returns to Carlos Creek Winery. Each course includes paved, gravel, and cross-country terrain. Course maps are provided by the organizer.
Awards, registration and on-site services
Medals are presented to the top place in each age range for male and female runners in both the 5K and 10K. Overall top male and female awards are also given for each distance. Registrations made prior to midnight on May 3 receive an event t-shirt; registrations after that date receive a drink ticket. A donation registration option is available for those who want an event t-shirt without running. On-site amenities listed by the organizer include the winery tasting room, live music, food trucks, a brewery and local food vendors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
