Armed Forces Endurance Run - May 16, 2026
The Armed Forces Endurance Run is a fixed-time endurance run held at Bixler Lake Park in Kendallville, IN. The event honors active duty service members and veterans; this year the race honors the Air Force and race swag will reflect that branch. Registration closes on Thu, May 14. The course circles a 117-acre lake and uses a pedestrian walkway and nature trail that is just over three miles long.
Race format and course
Runners choose a fixed time event and complete as many loops as they wish within that time limit.
- 6 hour
- 12 hour
- 24 hour
There is a 24 hour relay option for teams of three.
The loop is about 3 miles, with part asphalt and part true trails. Indoor restrooms are available on both sides of the lake. Finishers receive a unique medal plus an additional award customized to the mileage they achieve.
Logistics
A staffed aid station will support runners. Camping is available in designated campground spots for a small fee across from the start-finish line or for free next to it on a first-come, first-serve basis; details on camping costs and park reservations will be provided after the first of the year. Live music by an all veterans band is scheduled during the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
