The course uses the Chain Fruit, Lost Sheep, Channel, and Blevins Trails and winds through Chain Fruit cholla at the base of Pass Mountain. The terrain is described as relatively flat and designed for faster pacing on the marked loops. The event is part of the Insomniac Night Trail Run Series held across Arizona.

Aid provisions include a fully stocked start/finish aid station and one remote aid station called Levee Aid that runners pass each loop. Aid stations supply water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, bean rollups, and hot food options such as quesadillas and grilled cheese. The event is a CUPLESS race; reusable cups are required or available for purchase on site.

Logistics note that crews are allowed at the start/finish and a drop bag area is provided there. Pacers are permitted only for 50K runners beginning with the fourth loop. Parking at Usery is limited; spaces are reserved for 50K and 25K runners, with 12K and 6K parking routed through the group campground and a shuttle. The park charges a $10 entry fee per vehicle as of 1/1/26.

Course markings include orange plastic ribbons with black polka dots, reflective medallions, laminated signs, and blue and white checkerboard flagging for wrong way designations. MedStar Solutions medical staff are based at the start/finish to provide first aid and medical oversight and may remove participants if necessary.
