Stunner Night Runs - Usery Mountain Regional Park

Stunner Night Runs is a night trail event on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Usery Mountain Regional Park in Mesa, AZ. The event offers multiple trail distances on a looped course that uses the Chain Fruit, Lost Sheep, Channel, and Blevins Trails and passes through Chain Fruit cholla at the base of Pass Mountain.

Distances:

  • 50K (31.1 miles, four laps)
  • 25K (15.5 miles, two laps)
  • 12K (7.7 miles)
  • 6K (3.4 miles)

The start/finish area and a remote Levee Aid station are fully stocked with water, ice, electrolyte drinks, salty and sweet snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups, and hot food options. This is a cupless race; runners should use a reusable cup or obtain one on site. Drop bags and crew access are available at the start/finish; crews are allowed there. Pacers are permitted only for the 50K and only on the final loop.

Course marking includes orange ribbons with black polka dots, reflective medallions, laminated signs at junctions, and blue-and-white checkerboard flagging for wrong-way trails. MedStar Solutions medical staff will be on site to provide first aid and to make safety decisions as needed. Parking near the start is limited; shuttles run from the group campground about one mile away. The event is part of the 2026 Insomniac Night Trail Run Series. Six night trail races across Maricopa County Regional Parks from April to September, with distances from 5 km to 75 km. Series passes provide a 20% discount and a points system that counts the top three race scores for awards.

A monthly Friday evening 5K series at Arizona Falls with live chip timing, three collectible desert-themed medals, and a virtual option. The events raise funds for Child Crisis Arizona.

A free community run at Piestewa Peak where participants climb the summit repeatedly during a six hour window. On-course refreshments, giveaways, and Everyday Ultra coaches run alongside participants.

An evening 5K series at Arizona Falls with three monthly races that support Child Crisis Arizona. Live events are chip timed with age group awards and raffle prizes, plus a virtual option with collectible medals.
