Coldwater Rumble Trail Runs

Coldwater Rumble is a multi-distance trail running event held at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, AZ with the start/finish area at the Estrella Mountain Competitive Track. Distances offered include:

  • 100 Mile
  • 100K
  • 50K
  • 20 Mile
  • 10 Mile
  • 5 Mile

The courses follow desert trails at the foothills of the Sierra Estrella mountain range. Surfaces include crushed granite single track, rocks and boulders, sandy washes, old jeep roads, and dry wash beds. The 100 mile course is organized as two 10-mile red loops followed by three 27-mile blue loops; the 100K uses one red loop and two blue loops. Several new miles of trail have been added to the park and some sections can be remote or very sandy.

Aid stations are listed as well stocked, with chip timing and live split points on the course. Crews may support runners at the race headquarters and at Horse Thief Aid with restrictions on structures and camping; pacers are allowed for the 100 Mile and 100K during later race stages. Drop bags may be left at Rumble HQ for all distances; remote drop bags are available for longer distances. Mid-race and overall cutoffs are enforced.

Other on-site details include parking at the competitive track, a park entry fee, cupless aid station operations with reusable cup options, on-site medical support, and photography along the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
