The Coldwater Rumble Trail Runs take place at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, AZ on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The event offers multiple distances on desert trails through the foothills of the Sierra Estrella mountains. Distances include a range from short trail loops to multi-loop ultramarathon formats. Registration closes Monday, January 12 at 11:59 PM MT. The event uses chip timing and live split tracking, and awards are given to top finishers at each distance.
Course and logistics
- 100 Mile - 100 miles; total elevation gain 7,900 ft.
- 100K - 63.5 miles; total elevation gain 5,147 ft.
- 60K - 36.5 miles; total elevation gain 3,030 ft.
- 40K - 24.5 miles; total elevation gain 1,876 ft.
- 10 Mile - 9.5 miles; total elevation gain 916 ft.
- 5 Mile - 5 miles; total elevation gain 554 ft.
Trails include crushed granite single track, rocks, boulders, sandy washes, old jeep roads, and dry wash beds. The 100 mile course uses two 10-mile red loops followed by three 27-mile blue loops, with runners passing the start/finish multiple times. A 1.5-2 mile section named Corgett Wash can be very sandy. Crews are allowed near the start/finish and at one remote aid point with restrictions; pacers are permitted for the 100M (after mile 47) and for the 100K final blue loop. Drop bags are allowed at Rumble HQ and at Coldwater Ranch Aid for longer distances. The event is cupless; reusable cups are available at registration and aid stations.
