The Night Owl 5K - Coyote 10K - Nighthawk 15K Challenge is a sunset trail run at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, Florida, held on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Course, rules and safety
The courses are on existing unpaved trails. Participants may encounter soft sand, standing water, mud, rocks, roots, and wildlife. Strollers, baby joggers, and pets are prohibited on the courses. Headlamps are required for the 5K event. Maps were listed as coming soon.
Amenities and results
Every registered runner receives a race T-shirt and finisher medals; completing both events in the Nighthawk Challenge earns an additional third medal. The event offers chip timing, an accurately measured and well-marked course, post-race food and drinks, and awards three deep in five-year age groups for both events.
