Reindeer Run - Griffith Park

Reindeer Run is set for Saturday, December 19, 2026 at Griffith Park in Los Angeles. The event offers multiple distance options on a marked, shared trail that is hard packed dirt and used by horses, pedestrians, and other trail users. Runners should keep to the right on the shared path and pass on the left.

Distances:

  • 5k
  • 10k (2 x 5k loops)
  • 15k (3 x 5k loops)
  • Half marathon (3 x 4.37 mile loop)

The start and finish are on a grass area near picnic tables close to the Merry Go Round and the corner of Crystal Springs Drive and Fire Road. The course is primarily on the dirt trail with a brief street crossing and a turnaround point set off to the side of the trail. An aid station at the turnaround provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels.

Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Transfers are possible by request and a no refund policy applies. Parking is available in the large lot near the Merry Go Round, with access from Crystal Springs Drive and Fire Road.
