Reindeer Run - Griffith Park
The Reindeer Run takes place at Griffith Park in Los Angeles on December 19, 2026. The event offers multiple distance options on a shared park trail and uses a grass start and finish area near the Merry Go Round parking lot.
The course is an open, mostly dirt horse trail that is hard packed; there is a brief street crossing. The route will be marked with cones and signs. Participants share the trail with pedestrians, runners, and equestrians and are asked to stay to the right and pass on the left. The turnaround point is off to the side of the trail. An aid station at the turnaround provides water cups, bottled water, Gatorade cups, and energy gels.
Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks. A 3 hour 15 minute time limit applies to the half marathon; requests for an early start or additional time must be arranged with the organizer. Transfers are allowed only through the organizer and there is a no refund policy. Group discounts are available for five or more participants by contacting the organizer.
Parking is available in the large lot near the Merry Go Round, accessed from Crystal Springs Drive and Fire Road.
