Reindeer Run at Griffith Park
The Reindeer Run offers multiple race distances on a mostly dirt horse trail in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, on Saturday, December 19, 2026. The start and finish take place on a grass area near picnic tables between the Merry Go Round and the corner of Crystal Springs Drive and Fire Road. Parking is available in the large lot near the Merry Go Round.

- 5k
- 10k: two 5k loops
- 15k: three 5k loops
- Half marathon: three 4.37 mile loops
The course is open and shared with pedestrians, other runners, and equestrians. The route is marked with cones and signs, and runners are asked to keep to the right and pass on the left. The surface is primarily hard packed dirt with a brief street crossing. The turn around is located off to the side of the trail.
On-course support includes an aid station at the turn around offering water cups, bottled water, Gatorade cups, and gel packets. Included with registration are custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples.
