Abermule Point to Point

Maldwyn Harriers stages the Abermule Point to Point on 17 May 2026. The route is approximately 5 miles, running along a river path and canal towpath. The race starts at Back Lane car park, Newtown (SY16 2NH) and finishes at Abermule Community Centre (SY15 6ND).

Runners must be 16 years of age or older. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams. This is a point to point event and no official transport is provided to return athletes to the start; participants should arrange their own return.

Entry fees are listed as Club Member £10.00, Unattached £12.00, and 18 and under £5. Entries on the day are accepted and the event has a stated closing date of 14 May 2026. Awards will be given in all categories.

Tea, coffee and cake will be available at the community centre and donations are requested for Wales Air Ambulance. The course measurement certificate is listed as not applicable and a permit is applied for. Age group classification is based on the first race in the series, the Chocoholics 5k on 3 April 2026. Rodney's Pillar is a provisional 5.2 km race on 17 June 2026 with 280 m of ascent. Entry is by pre-entry or on the day with fees of £7 pre-entry and £10 on-the-day.

A 200 mile circular ultra from Machynlleth across Mid Wales with a 120 hour limit and about 30,187 feet of ascent. The course uses Glyndwr's Way and Offa's Dyke and offers 10 aid stations, live tracking and a drop-bag service.
