9/11 Memorial Climb : UC Davis Health Stadium, Davis, CA
The event is an annual 9/11 memorial stair climb and walk organized by the UC Davis Police Department, UC Davis Fire Department, and UC Davis Athletics. It takes place at UC Davis Health Stadium in Davis, California, with parking provided in Lot 56 directly in front of the stadium.
Participants may climb stairs or take a walk on the track inside the stadium. The memorial walk consists of 15 laps around the stadium track. First responders may climb in full uniform, including fire turnout gear or patrol uniforms, and community members may participate in solidarity. Strollers are permitted for those who wish to walk with them.
Registration for the climb or walk includes a pancake breakfast and a commemorative T-shirt; shirt availability is subject to timing of registration. Event proceeds are designated for the UC Davis Police Emergency Scholarship, which provides financial support to students facing sudden crises.
