24HR "The Grind"

24HR "The Grind" is the inaugural Machete Trail Madness 24HR Race held in Perris, CA on January 29, 2027. The event takes place at 17801 Lake Perris Dr and uses Group Picnic C as the group campground, start area, and transition area. Organizers request that drivers enter via the Morene Valley entrance rather than Ramona Express Way.

The event format centers on repeating the Molcajete 1.0 loop, a 4-mile+ trail loop, as many times as a participant or team chooses within a 24 hour period. The event offers two entry options: individual 24 hour and team 24 hour. Team entries consist of four members assigned numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4; team members cycle through laps in that order without skipping or repeating numbers. A team captain completes one registration for all members.

Awards are planned for the top three individual men and the top three individual women, and for the top three teams. Entry-related dates are provided by the organizer: registration closes on January 2 and registrations submitted by December 24, 2026 will receive a medal or buckle and a participant shirt.
