24HR "The Grind"

24HR "The Grind" is the inaugural Machete Trail Madness 24 hour race held in Perris, California on January 29, 2027. The event offers Individual 24H and Team 24H formats on a repeated loop course known as Molcajete 1.0. The loop measures approximately 4 miles + and is run repeatedly over a 24 hour period. The course features a recurring climb each lap, and participants will complete as many laps as they wish within the 24 hour window.

Teams consist of four runners in any combination of genders. Each team assigns runners the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4, and must cycle through that order lap after lap without skipping or repeating. A team captain is responsible for registering all team members under a single registration. Awards are planned for the top three individual men and women and the top three teams. Organizers require registration by 12/24/2026 for participants to be guaranteed a medal or buckle and a participant shirt. The start and transition area are located at Group Picnic C; participants should enter the park via the Moren e Valley entrance rather than Ramona Express Way for access to the group campground and start location.
