12hr Frenzy at the Fairgrounds

The 12hr Frenzy at the Fairgrounds is a dusk to dawn fundraising endurance event held at the Harrison County Fairgrounds in Gulfport, MS. The event supports the Coastal MS Wildcats Track and Field program, with all proceeds directed to the team.

The format requires participants to complete a 2 kilometer trail loop once each hour for 12 consecutive hours. Completing all 12 laps results in a total distance of 24 kilometers. The course is run in the dark and headlamps are required for all participants.

Event amenities and provisions include several fire pits at a shared basecamp area. Participants may bring tents or camp chairs for rest between loops and should bring their own food and water. Finishers receive a custom dog tag. The published entry fee is $35 and additional donations are accepted.

The event is presented as an overnight trail challenge that combines timed hourly laps with an informal camp atmosphere at the fairgrounds. The description focuses on the loop length, hourly format, equipment requirement, on-site basecamp setup, fundraising purpose, finisher recognition, and the stated entry fee.
