Live Oak Ultra - Biloxi, Mississippi

Live Oak Ultra is an urban-supported running event in Biloxi and Ocean Springs, Mississippi, offering a 50K and a Half Marathon and finishing at Altered Reality Brewing. The route passes the Biloxi Lighthouse, runs along the beach boardwalk, crosses the bridge to Ocean Springs, visits Front and East Beaches, and includes sections through Gulf Islands National Seashore State Park.

Distances:

  • 50K
  • Half Marathon

The event provides approximately six aid locations with water, Hammer Nutrition products (Heed and gels), fruit, and typical snacks; some additional food options may be available. Ainsley’s Angels will staff a full aid station on Front Beach. Drop bags are allowed at stations 2/5, 3, and 4 but not at station 1/6. Public restrooms and portable toilets are available at several points along the route.

Courses are distributed as GPX files for use with phone map apps or watches, and pocket-sized turn cards are provided at check-in. Route marking will include neon tape at turns; signage is limited. The organizer notes the route is urban with relatively low traffic and allows personal crews to provide aid or runners to use local businesses along the way.

Finishers receive awards; the 50K also awards top three male and female finishers and age-group prizes in multiple divisions. The organizer offers a full refund for withdrawals made more than 14 days before the event, excluding taxes and platform fees, and permits transfers under event policies.
