Farmmageddon
Farmmageddon is a multi-distance trail event held at Hyde Hall Farm, Buntingford, SG9 0RU. The event uses a roughly 5.3 km loop run anticlockwise that is mostly off-road (about 80%), with some tarmac paths and grassland. Each lap has about 52 m of climb, with high and low points near 140 m and 112 m respectively.
The event includes a 100 mile option staged over a 32 hour period and a variety of other distance and time-based challenges. A water aid station is located at the lap point so runners do not need to carry all food or drink. Parking is included and secure on site, with a parking attendant to direct vehicles and to point runners toward number collection. A baggage area is provided for warm clothes and spare shoes.
Finish awards vary by distance. Those who complete the 100 mile distance receive a t-shirt and a buckle if the t-shirt was ordered before the specified cutoff; after that cutoff only the buckle is provided. Other finishers receive a Farmmageddon medal or may choose from other Hyde Hall Event medals. A bespoke event medal and a lucky-dip medal option are listed where available.
