Yurrebilla Ultra Trail
The Yurrebilla Ultra Marathon takes place in the Adelaide Hills, following a course that stays within 12 km of the city of Adelaide. The route traverses the western face of the hills, passing through various national parks, conservation reserves, gorges, and waterfalls.
The event offers three distinct distances to accommodate different levels of endurance:
- 56 km
- 28 km
- 14 km
The 56 km course begins at the Belair Railway Station, while the 28 km starts at Coach Road and the 14 km at Morialta Falls. All distances conclude at Foxfield Oval in Athelstone. Participants in the longest distance are divided into waves based on estimated finishing times to ensure aid stations are prepared for their arrival. Those competing for overall podium positions must start in the final competitive wave.
This is a cup-free event, meaning participants are required to carry their own reusable hydration vessels. Support on the course includes multiple drink stations and first aid services. The organizers provide electronic timing, a finisher medal, and a digital certificate for all participants. Optional bus transport is available to take runners from the finish line area at Foxfield Oval to their respective start lines on the morning of the event.
