Event overview
The Windham Woods School Thankful Trails 5K Run and Walk takes place at the Windham Woods School campus in Windham, New Hampshire on November 14, 2026. This is the third annual edition and the 5K follows a two loop trail course across campus that totals 3.1 miles. The event is open to the Windham Woods School community and the public and the 5K field is limited to 200 participants.
The trail surface is thin and uneven in places and the course is not accessible to strollers. Dogs are not permitted on the course. Each registered 5K participant receives one raffle ticket as part of registration and additional tickets will be available for purchase. Shirt sizes can be guaranteed for registrations completed by October 15; sizes after that date are supplied while available.
A free Kids Fun Run across the lower field is offered for children aged eight and under; participants in the fun run receive a ribbon. There is an awards ceremony, a raffle during the event, and lunch provided on site. Organizers seek volunteers and communicate volunteer assignments by email prior to the event.
