Wildwood Canyon Trail Run
The Wildwood Canyon Trail Run takes place in Wildwood Canyon State Park, located in Yucaipa, California. The event features a course that traverses rugged canyons, meadows, and oak-studded hillsides. Participants navigate a loop that measures 3.7 miles and includes approximately 600 feet of vertical gain per lap.
The event offers two distinct formats for participants:
- 8 Hour Loop Course: Runners complete as many laps as possible within an eight-hour time limit.
- Wildwood 6K: A single-lap race following the same 3.7-mile loop as the endurance event.
The 8-hour race requires participants to start their final loop before the 7 hour and 15 minute mark to ensure it counts toward their total. The course consists of rolling climbs, smooth sections, and Southern California singletrack trails.
Support is provided via an aid station at the start and finish line, which offers water, electrolytes, soda, and snacks such as fruit and bars. An additional water station is located at the highest point of the course. On-site activities include live music from a bluegrass band during the morning check-in and the presence of various vendors. Spectators are permitted to attend and support runners throughout the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
