Viewpoint Endurance Challenge - Whittier NC
The Viewpoint Endurance Challenge is a timed endurance event held October 17, 2026 in Whittier, North Carolina. It offers multiple running and rucking divisions on a short looped course that passes a main conference center with bathrooms and showers.
Distances and formats include:
- 24 hour timed event
- 12 hour timed event
- 6 hour timed event
- 6 hour ruck division
- 3 hour ruck division
- 3 hour timed event
The course is 1.4 miles per lap, composed of a 1.0 mile hard packed gravel loop connected to a 0.4 mile asphalt loop. Each loop has approximately 118 ft of gain and 100 ft of loss. Runners pass the main aid station and porta johns every lap. A lap keeping system is used with chip or tag timing and an option to self lap keep on a large white board.
Rucking divisions are separated by gender with weight requirements noted for each division. Twenty four hour finishers receive a custom belt buckle for completing a minimum of 37 laps, equal to 50.4 miles. Canopy tents are allowed in permitted areas along the course to enable self support and crew access.
