Veterans Day Catalina State Park Trail Races
The event on November 8, 2026 takes place at Catalina State Park in Tucson, Arizona. It includes three distances run on the park trails:
- 10.6 Mile
- 5.3 Mile
- 5K Road Run and Walk
All races start and finish at the main parking lot at the end of the park road. Courses use the Nature Trail and Bridal Trail; the longer course continues onto the 50-Year Trail for a 2.75 mile out-and-back with a monitored turnaround. The course passes narrow sections where runners should follow course monitor instructions and avoid crossing placed rocks that direct traffic on the trail.
Participants are asked to carry their own water. Organizers will provide water before the Nature Trail and bottled water prior to the Birding Trail. Littering of bottles is not permitted. The overall event cutoff is 10:30 AM. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet on Tanque Verde on Friday November 6 and at Fleet Feet on Oracle Road on Saturday November 7 during posted pickup hours.
Registration information in the event materials lists entry fees, a registration closing date, and a note that prices increase after September 25. Registered participants are provided post race breakfast items, doughnuts, fruit and nuts, downloadable race photos, finisher shirts in cotton and tech sizes, and overall and five year age group medals for 1st through 3rd place.
