Southern Arizona Triple 50
The Southern Arizona Triple 50 is a season-long challenge that requires completion of three 50-mile trail ultras in southern Arizona. The three events are the Colossal Vail 50 in Vail, AZ (December 5, 2026), the AZT Oracle Rumble 50 in Oracle, AZ (January 30, 2027), and the Old Pueblo 50 in Sonoita, AZ (March 6, 2027). Each of the three races must be finished within 15 hours.
All events use portions of the Arizona National Scenic Trail. Event proceeds are donated to the Arizona Trail Association to support protection, maintenance, promotion, and stewardship of the trail.
Participants receive standard race items at each ultra and, upon finishing all three 50-mile events in a single season, are awarded a custom high-performance garment to mark the accomplishment. Registration discounts are offered for Native Americans, members of the Arizona Trail Association, and military veterans; details are provided by event organizers.
Local organizations support the Southern Arizona Triple 50. One partner provides therapy and gait-analysis services for runners, including video-based running-form assessment and individualized rehabilitation or training plans.
