Valley Vertikiller Trail Race 2026
The Valley Vertikiller takes place on October 10, 2026 in Abbotsford, BC at 37779 Taggart Rd. The event features three loop courses on predominantly single-track trails, with aid stations and finish-line food.
Distances:
- 30 km: nearly 1,500 m elevation gain, climb to Sumas Mountain peak.
- 20 km: about 1,000 m elevation gain, follows much of the 30 km route.
- 10 km: 400 m elevation gain, lower-loop with short climbs and technical sections.
The 30 km route passes Chadsey Lake, creeks and several viewpoints, and includes an aid station at the Eastern Lookout. The 20 km uses many of the same trails and is mostly technical single-track. The 10 km starts with a short loop near the start/finish, enters the No Time Out trail and includes roughly 1 km of climb on Time Killer.
All distances have well-stocked aid stations, catered finish-line food (soup, buns, pumpkin pie and snacks), custom racer hats by Territory Run Co, podium and cash prizes, and draw prizes. The 30 km includes a Team Challenge for teams of five or more; team results use the combined times of the fastest five members. Team members can receive a 10% registration discount with a promo code obtained before registering.
Notable rules: poles permitted on 20 km and 30 km only; no dogs on course (dogs allowed in finish area under conditions); parental consent and presence requirements for minors.
