UTAH 115
UTAH 115 is a multi-distance desert ultramarathon held in Kanab, Utah from 14 to 16 May 2027. The event offers three out and back race distances:
- 115 miles
- 50 miles
- 50 km
Cutoff times are 50 hours for the 115 mile race, 20 hours for the 50 mile race, and 13 hours for the 50 km. The courses run over high desert terrain including hard packed and soft sand, sand dunes, forest trails, red rock climbs, rocky and double track roads, canyons and plateaus. The start and finish are in Kanab at about 4,970 feet (1,515 meters) elevation. The 115 mile course crosses the Coral Pink Sand Dunes.
Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, daytime and nighttime food, hot drinks at night and breakfast items on later mornings. Some aid stations offer shared tent sleeping space with pads and blankets; sleeping time at these stations is limited to three hours. Course markings are placed at intervals and reflective markers or lights will be used at night; runners must carry a light suitable for finding unlit markers. GPX files will be available for navigation.
Registration prices vary by date and processing fees and Utah sales tax apply. Super early and early bird discounts are available with codes SEB20 and EB15 by specified deadlines. There are no specific entry qualifications but participants must be 18 or older. UTAH 115 is USATF sanctioned.
Prizes include buckles for 115 mile finishers and medals for 50 mile and 50 km finishers. Top male and female finishers of the 115 receive a complimentary entry to Grand to Grand Ultra; entries are non transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
