Ultra Five-0 : Hunua Traverse Trail, Auckland
Ultra Five-0 is a trail running event held along the Hunua Traverse Trail in the Hunua Ranges near Auckland on Saturday 5 December 2026. The course is described as 100% runnable and is made up of a combination of gravel roads, single track trails and chip-seal roads.
Events offered include:
- 50 km solo, minimum age 18
- 25 km solo, minimum age 16
- 50 km team relay, minimum age 16
Entry fees vary by distance and by entry period. Early entry prices end on 30 September and standard entry prices apply thereafter. Online entries close on Thursday 3 December at midnight. Late entries are accepted at race registration on the Friday evening and the Saturday morning before the event and incur a $20 late fee; EFTPOS is not available for late entries.
The entry fee includes a finishers medal, race number, timing chip, medical support, and aid stations with toilets, water, electrolyte hydration and food. T-shirts can be pre-ordered when registering; the listed specification is crew neck, 100% polyester, quick dry and anti-wrinkle. Entries are non-refundable; transfers are permitted and entries may not be deferred for more than 12 months. The event is organised as a joint venture between Trail Events NZ and First Tier Sports Productions and is operated by Ultra Five-0 Limited in Clevedon, Auckland.
