Traprock 50 - April 17, 2027
Traprock 50 is a trail running event in Bloomfield, CT organized by the CT Trailmixers. The event offers two distances:
- 50K three loops
- 17K one loop
The course is a loop of approximately 10.5 to 11 miles per loop. It is a rolling course with about 50 percent technical single track on the Metacomet Trail and the remainder on double-track. Terrain consists entirely of rolling forest roads and single track that can be extremely rocky.
The 50K has a nine hour cutoff. The race is cupless; runners should plan to bring a personal cup or handheld bottle. A course map is available on AllTrails. A quality tech shirt may be purchased separately in the event store.
When the race reaches capacity an automatic waitlist opens. Waitlist selections follow the order of registration; selected runners have two days to accept before the invitation moves to the next person. Registration opens November 26, 2026. If a runner cancels before March 1, 50 percent of registration fees will be refunded; there are no refunds after that date. No bib transfers and no deferrals.
The CT Trailmixers run the event as a volunteer nonprofit. Race proceeds will support local organizations including the Simsbury Land Trust and the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
