Trails 4 Miles

Trails 4 Miles is an annual running event held at Sherando Park in Stephens City, Virginia. The event program includes a mixed-surface trail race through the mountain bike trail system and a separate untimed fun run/walk on the paved park path. Proceeds from all events benefit the I'm Just Me Movement, which supports confidence, inclusion, and self-acceptance.

The event offers two course options:

  • 4 Miles mixed-surface trail through Sherando Park mountain bike trails.
  • 1 Mile untimed out-and-back on the paved Sherando Park path; marshal at turnaround.

Registration details are provided for each distance: registration opens 15 May 2026. Registration closes 22 August 2026 for the four-mile race and 26 September 2026 for the one-mile fun run/walk. Fees are listed per event: $25.00 for the four-mile race and $15.00 for the one-mile fun run/walk. Packet pickup is scheduled on the event day at the race start/finish area.

The one-mile event is untimed and will run out-and-back on paved paths with a course marshal at the turnaround. One-mile participants will start immediately before the four-mile field to clear the start area first. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
