Tooele Turkey Trail Trot 'Til You Drop
This event is a 10 hour loop trail race held at the Settlement Canyon Toll Booth area in Tooele, Utah, on Settlement Canyon Road. Runners repeat a loop on the Left Hand Fork Trail that is approximately 5.5 miles long with roughly 1,200 ft of elevation gain per lap.
Laps alternate direction: odd laps run counter-clockwise and even laps run clockwise. A new lap begins every 90 minutes; runners must complete each lap within the lap cutoff or they and any others who missed the cutoff will be eliminated. The final lap is run for time to determine finishing order.
The course starts on paved road, moves onto wooded singletrack with steep climbs, crosses a meadow, follows creekside sections, and includes dirt road and paved stretches near Camp Wapiti before returning to the toll booth gate. Trail surfaces and conditions can vary in late November, from dirt to snow.
The start/finish area will have hot and cold food and drink available. Participants may keep a drop bag at the start or in their vehicle. If a runner withdraws, they are invited to remain and support others.
Top three men and top three women in each event receive modest awards. Registration fees are non-refundable and bib transfers are not permitted. If the organizer is notified by 26 November 2026, registration may be deferred to a future Tooele Trail Racing event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
