Timberview Trail Run
The Timberview Trail Run is a trail racing event held at Lory State Park near Fort Collins, Colorado. The 2027 edition is the eighth annual running of this event and is USATF sanctioned. It is described as a plant based event.
The race offers three course options with differing terrain and distance:
- 10 Mile double loop of the 5 mile course
- 5 Mile more technical trails with greater elevation gain and more turns
- 5K easier intro to trail running and a beginner friendly route for children
Courses are marked and staffed with volunteers. All distances pass the same aid stations where cups of water, fuel and an electrolyte drink are provided; cups are 100 percent biodegradable. Aid stations will also provide water bowls for dogs. Alternate wet weather course routes are prepared in case park trails are closed.
Event services include an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib, professional chip timing, free event photos, and post race food and drinks. Vendors and sponsors are planned on site and pancakes will be served. Parking at the park can be limited; volunteers will assist with parking and race bibs may include parking passes.
