Timber24
Timber24 is a 24 hour team trail running festival held at Hardwood Ski and Bike in Oro Medonte, in the Barrie, Ontario area. In the relay format each team collectively runs 192 km. Teams may be made up of 8, 4, 2 or 1 runner (solo), and one runner starts an 8 km lap each hour for 24 hours.
On-site facilities include a tent village where teams move in beginning Friday afternoon, a physio and massage village offering 15 minute treatments from an RMT or physiotherapist with in-person sign-up, free coffee and hot chocolate in the mornings, and 24 hour food and beverage service. A retail store is open for the duration of the event selling essentials and event merchandise. The event also features a beer garden open Saturday evening and after the race, backyard games, an overnight movie screening and campfires.
The event combines a timed relay format of repeated 8 km laps with on-site camping and festival-style services for participants and teams. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
