About the race
Horseshoe Valley Hustle Trail & Ultra Challenge is a multi-distance trail running event at Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie, Ontario, taking place on October 31, 2026. The event uses a 5 km looped course that runs through resort property and combines technical singletrack, rolling terrain, and notable elevation gain. One aid station is located at the 2.5 km mark and will be passed once per lap.
Distances offered include:
- Spooky Small Steps 1 km family friendly non-trail run/walk; $10 minimum donation to Child & Youth Advocacy Centre Simcoe Muskoka required
- 5 km trail run/walk on the 5 km loop
- 10 km trail run/walk, two laps of the 5 km loop
- 8-hour Endurance Challenge solo or team relay formats (teams of 2, 4, or 8) completing as many 5 km laps as possible
All races are chip timed and finishers receive a medal and breakfast. Prizes are awarded for top finishers in the 5 km and 10 km, overall winners of the 8-hour solo, and winning relay teams; Rossignol is listed as an official race partner providing prizes. Costumes are encouraged and a Best Costume award will be presented. Trail shoes are strongly recommended; strollers and dogs are only permitted in the 1 km event.
