5K Foam Fest Wasaga Beach, ON
The event is a 5 kilometre run held at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, Beach Area 2 in Wasaga Beach, Ontario. The course includes more than 25 obstacles such as inflatable slides, slip n slides, cargo climbs, mud pits at certain venues, and foam zones. Organizers pump large volumes of foam into parts of the course; the event materials state 2.5 million cubic feet of foam used at each event.
The on-site festival area features a free Kids Fun Zone, a live DJ, food vendors, a licensed beer garden, water stations, shaded areas and rinse stations. Participants receive event items listed by the organiser including a string bag, a 5K Foam Buff, a finishers medal, a festival wristband, a temporary tattoo and a free low-resolution finish photo. Gear check is available for a suggested $5 donation.
Spectators are free. Ticket information shown by the organiser includes a current price of $49.99 plus local taxes and fees and a full price of $139.99, with limited tickets available at the gate. The event notes practical items to bring such as photo ID, sunscreen, cash only and a change of clothes. The event is presented with partners including Electrolit and supports Make A Wish Canada.
