The Wild Wolf of Radnor
The Wild Wolf of Radnor is the second running of a trail race held on 23 August 2026 in Radnor forest in Mid Wales. The event raises funds for the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) in Hereford.
The course is approximately 10 mile and passes through a mix of forestry roads, open moorland and muddy, tree covered single track. The route begins with a gentle downhill section before the first climb and rises to Black Mixen at 2,130 ft above sea level. Runners can see the Brecon Beacons to the south, Cadair Idris to the northwest and the Long Mynd to the northeast along the route. After the high point the course returns through forest, includes one further climb and finishes with about one mile of fast descent.
Race features listed by the organiser include chip timing, no cut off time, a fully marked route, two water stations and a finisher's coaster. A GPX file of the route is available.
There are 150 total places. Entries close on Wednesday 19 August 2026 or when the limit of 150 is reached, whichever comes first. Entry fee until 19 August 2026 is £22.50 and a service fee applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
