The Stone Circle Marathon & Half
The Stone Circle is a full and half marathon around Gargrave, North Yorkshire, following a route to the Broughton Stone Circle and passing through Yorkshire Dales scenery. The course is looped: the half marathon is one loop and the full marathon is two loops. The route uses mixed terrain including fields, footpaths, canal towpaths and a short section of country roads.

There are three refreshment stations per loop offering a variety of snacks and drinks. The event is ARC registered, timed by OpenTracking, and has first aid cover. Facilities at the start and finish include toilets, refreshments, changing and bag storage. The races are volunteer run and accommodate runners and long distance walkers. Spectators have multiple places to watch along the looped course.
The event is organised as a non profit fundraiser to support attendance at the World Scout Jamboree in Gdansk 2027; organisers state that more than £3,300 must be fundraised to enable attendance. Finishers receive a sustainable medal and post race recovery refreshments include Yorkshire tea, home made cakes and chips provided at the finish.
