About the race
The Stone Circle Marathon & Half is a full and half marathon around Gargrave in North Yorkshire, with a route that reaches the Broughton Stone Circle and passes through Yorkshire Dales scenery. The event is scheduled for Saturday 31 October 2026 and uses a looped layout: the half is one loop and the full is two loops.
The course is multi‑terrain and comprises fields, footpaths, canal towpaths and a short section of country roads. Each loop includes three refreshment stations offering a variety of snacks and drinks. Finishers receive a sustainable medal and post-race recovery refreshments include Yorkshire tea, home-made cakes and chips.
Facilities and services listed for the event include ARC registration, race timing provided by OpenTracking, first aid cover, toilets, changing facilities and bag storage. The races are volunteer run and non-profit, raising funds to support a selected attendee’s trip to the World Scout Jamboree in Gdansk 2027. Entry requirements note minimum ages of 18 for the full marathon and 17 for the half marathon. Entry fees are shown as £30 for the full marathon and £22 for the half marathon.
