The Next Loop Endurance Series : Tyler
The Next Loop Endurance Series at Tyler State Park on November 14, 2026 offers two trail formats on the same loop: The Next Loop Hourly Challenge and The Next 12 Hour Challenge. Both run on an approximately 3.1 to 3.6 mile loop at Tyler State Park, with Race Headquarters at the Blackjack Savannah Pavilion.
The Next Loop Hourly Challenge begins a new loop at the top of each hour. Participants complete one loop, return to the start/finish area, recover and prepare for the next hourly start. There is no required distance and no DNF; results are based on the number of completed loops and total distance.
The Next 12 Hour Challenge is a continuous 12 hour trail event in which the clock runs continuously after the start. Participants do not need to declare a distance beforehand and may stop or rest as they choose while the clock continues. Official results record completed loops and total distance within the 12 hour period.
Packet pick-up and a required pre-race briefing take place at the Blackjack Savannah Pavilion the day before and on race day at Race Headquarters. A central aid station will be available at Race Headquarters with water, Tailwind endurance drink, and a selection of snacks; gels are not supplied. There is space for personal staging and vehicle staging, overnight camping is not normally allowed, and pacers are permitted after a participant's fourth loop with only one pacer at a time. Results are reported by distance and ranked with others who completed the same distance; some record book recognitions require at least 14 participants.
