Hell Horse Hundred - Big Sandy TX
The Hell Horse Hundred is a multi-distance trail event on June 20, 2027 at Pale Horse Ranch in Big Sandy, Texas. The course is a 3.1 mile loop through piney woods and open pasture land. Surface types include grassy and paved trail. Each 3.1 mile loop has about 148 feet of elevation gain.

Historic average temperatures range from 75 to 95 degrees. A water carrying system is required for all events and participants must bring their own water containers because cups are not served. Headlamp use is required for all events. Aid stations appear on the loop with a main aid station at mile 0/3.1 and a water station at mile 1.5. Aid offerings include hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice, and ice; the water station provides water and ice.
Shuttle tickets to the 100K and 100 Mile start areas are available at registration; participants may also be driven to the start and have a crew along the course. A disclaimer notes the "100K" actual distance is 68.7 miles and the "50K" actual distance is 32.8 miles.
Pacing rules allow pacers for the 100K and 100 Mile races at mile 40. Pacers must wear a blue bib labeled PACER, wear the bib while on course, and only one pacer may run with a competitor at a time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
