The Lions Run
The Lions Run is the second annual Legacy Christian Academy race fundraiser held on October 10, 2026. The event takes place in and around the Empire Ranch Golf Course in Carson City. Its stated purpose is to build community while raising funds to seed future facility projects for the school.
Race options include a mix of timed distances and a nontraditional entry that does not require running. The course is described as fully supported with on-course aid stations and race-day services.
Registered participants receive a swag bag, a race t-shirt, precision timing, finish line photos, and access to a finish line festival. The event lists presenting, gold, silver, and bronze sponsors, as well as in-kind donors who support the fundraiser. Organizers also offer opportunities to volunteer and to donate without attending the race.

- Family Fun Run: 0.5 mile, walk, run, skip or stroll
- 5K Run: 3.1 miles, walk or run
- 10K: 6.2 miles
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- 0.0 None Run: relax in a lawn chair to win
