THE LAP - Windermere Ultra Anticlockwise

THE LAP - Anticlockwise is a fully waymarked trail ultra that circumnavigates Lake Windermere in an anticlockwise direction. The course distance is 47 mile and participants have 24 hours to complete the route. The event is open to runners and walkers and has a minimum age of 16.

The route is predominantly on tracks, trail and single track, with some steeper fell paths and occasional short sections of quiet country road. It is described as a low level Lakes route and includes a number of established viewpoints along the lakeshore.

Route support and services include 2,500 route marking arrows, a GPS tracker, map and GPX files, five fully stocked feed stations, and a halfway aid station with bag drop. A finishers meal is provided regardless of finish time and finishers receive a locally sourced medal.

The event base is at Low Cunsey Farm, Ambleside, Cumbria. Entry information noted an entry fee of £135. The organiser is C3C.
