The Henderson Shuffle - Henderson Park
The Henderson Shuffle is a 12 hour community running and walking event held on Sunday 27 September 2026 at Henderson Park. Participants complete as many laps as they choose around a gentle 4 km loop that follows wide cycleway paths beside Henderson Creek and returns along a bush trail on the opposite side of the stream.
The course is flat with no stairs, pushchair friendly, and accessible to wheelchair users, though some gravel sections may be difficult to navigate. Bikes are not permitted on the trail sections. Typical loop times are about 20–30 minutes running or 40–50 minutes at a relaxed stroll. There are no cut-offs and no minimum pace.
An event village will be located on Wilscher Crescent beside the park toilet block and drinking fountain. A central gazebo will offer water refills and basic first aid. Participants are expected to be largely self-sufficient and may set up a small tent or base area, taking all rubbish home. Hot food will be available from Pilgrims Bandits and a coffee cart will operate on Wilscher Crescent.
Every participant receives a medal and is eligible for hourly spot-prize draws if they are on the course at the time of the announcements. A small dog category is planned and organisers invite expressions of interest. The Toughest First Responder Trophy will see Police, Fire, and St John teams compete to complete the most laps collectively. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
