About the race

The EQUALIZER RUN and RECOVER-FEST is a race and recovery event in Marthasville, Missouri on October 24, 2026. It uses a marked one-mile loop that passes the campground, the Katy Trail, the KT Caboose and downtown before returning to Racers Village. The running events are chip timed and each one-mile split is recorded.

Distances offered:

  • 5 Miles (five one-mile laps on the marked loop)
  • 13.1 Miles (thirteen one-mile laps on the marked loop)

An aid station at Racers Village provides water, sports drink, bananas and light snacks and is located so runners pass it every mile. Registered runners receive a finisher medal.

A separate Workout Sesh offers a guided bodyweight session in the grass to music for about 30 minutes, followed by a Warrior and stretch yoga session. Recovery options included with the event feature a cold plunge, a sauna van, instructor-led surrender yoga and led recovery stretches. The site offers primitive free camping with showers and bathrooms available. The schedule also includes guest speakers, led workouts, evening live music starting at 5 pm and a BBQ hangout. The next morning there is a shakeout coffee walk to the KT Caboose, a sunrise yoga session and a no-drop gravel bike ride along part of the Equalizer State Championship route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
