The Clemson Wildlife Trail Run
The Clemson Wildlife Trail Run is a fundraising trail event organized by the Clemson Wildlife Society on 09/26/2026 at the Clemson University Forest near 815 Old Six Mile Rd, Central, SC 29630. The event offers three distances that follow forest trails and gravel roads, with natural trail features such as sticks, roots, and rocks. The course includes substantial elevation change: the marathon has more than 2,000 feet of gain, the half marathon more than 1,000 feet, and the 10K more than 400 feet.
All races start and finish near a horseshoe loop that participants pass roughly every 6 to 7 miles; the aid station at that location will provide water and an electrolyte drink. This is a cupless event, so runners should plan to carry a cup, bottle, or bladder. Organizers advise carrying hydration, nutrition, and gear appropriate for the distance and conditions.
Course layout begins with several hundred meters of road to spread out, followed by under one mile of mostly wide trail and about half a mile of gravel road before narrow lakeside trails. Race timing will be recorded and posted after the event; times are not chipped and there is no time cutoff. All registrants will receive a t-shirt. The field is limited to 250 participants due to parking. A limited $10 discount is available for the first 50 verified Clemson students. Registration opens and closes as published and the listed registration fee is $40 per event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
