The Clemson Wild Life Trail Run
The Clemson Wild Life Trail Run is a fundraising trail event held on 09/26/2026 at 815 Old Six Mile Rd, Central, SC 29630. Races take place on trails in the Clemson University Forest, previously known as the Clemson Experimental Forest.
Distances
- Marathon: 26.2 miles
- Half marathon: 13.1 miles
- 10K: 6.1 miles
The course includes significant elevation gain: more than 2,000 feet in the marathon, more than 1,000 feet in the half marathon, and more than 400 feet in the 10K. Terrain features sticks, roots, and rocks. The route begins with several hundred meters of road, continues with less than 1 mile of mostly wide trail, then about a half mile on gravel road before opening onto narrower lakeside trails.
Start and finish are located near a horseshoe loop that the course passes every 6 to 7 miles; an aid station at that loop will offer water and an electrolyte drink. The event is cupless, so participants are expected to carry a cup, bottle, or hydration bladder and bring appropriate nutrition and gear for the distance.
Registration opens 08/21/2026 and closes 09/24/2026; the listed registration fee is $45.00. The field is capped at 250 participants based on parking. All registrants receive a t-shirt. Times will be recorded and posted after the event, timing is not chipped, and awards will be given to top finishers in each race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
