TARCkey Trot
The TARCkey Trot is a 6 hour timed trail race at Wright Locke Farm in Winchester, Massachusetts on Saturday, November 14, 2026. The event uses a single 5K loop with rocks and rollers; participants may run as many or as few loops as they wish within the six hour time limit. Goats are present near the course.
The trail is well marked with flagging and signs at major intersections. A GPX course file and maps are provided for navigation; participants who go off course must backtrack and GPS tracks may be reviewed. Failure to follow the marked course can affect eligibility for an official finish time.
There is one aid station inside the barn at the start/finish of each loop. This is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own bottle, cup, vest, or other hydration system. Aid station offerings include Hyle Hydration products, soda, water, ice, fruit, candy, cookies, chips, peanut butter, and pickles.
Entry fee is $35 with a discounted youth entry of $10 off for runners 19 years old or under through the Youth Trail program. Online registration closes about one week before the race and no race day registration is offered. The event has a no refund policy and generally does not allow transfers or deferrals except in emergencies; a pregnancy deferral option is available for up to two years with advance notice. Adaptive athletes are welcome and certain assistive devices and guides are permitted. The event follows Leave No Trace principles and includes a land acknowledgement for the Pawtucket people.
