Surrey Ultra Mountain Marathon
The Surrey Ultra Mountain Marathon is a two-day, two-person-team self-supported navigation and endurance challenge held at Newlands Corner near Albury, Guildford GU4 8SE on 8 and 9 May 2027. Teams carry all equipment and supplies they need for the weekend, including camping gear, cooking gear and fuel, and all food.
Entry is by teams of two only. A maximum of 20 teams may take part. Participants have set time windows each day to collect points from virtual controls in the Surrey Hills, with seven hours on the first day and six hours on the second day. All teams start at the same time on both days.
Camping is basic. Hot and cold water, showers and toilets are available. The event campsite is on a working farm and may be noisy overnight because of geese, ducks and other groups camping nearby.
The entry fee is £60 per team and includes camping, maps, a t-shirt and the first beer in camp. The fee increases to £70 per team on 1 February 2027. The organiser is Trionium.
