Sundowner 5K Series - Edinburgh
The Sundowner 5K Series is a summer evening set of three 5K races organised by Blast Running in Edinburgh. The series visits three parks: Leith Links, Fettes and Inverleith Park, with events on 1 July, 26 August and 9 September 2026.
Races use inner trail paths and are described as having clearly marked courses and marshals positioned around the routes. Events are chip timed and all finishers receive a medal. Race photos are available and a warm up is provided by Westwoods Health Club. The series is supported by FNZ and has a charity partner, Earth in common, an organisation in Leith that helps children connect with nature through urban food growing.
Entry options are single-race or series entries with listed prices of £12 per race or £30 for all three. Each event has a maximum of 250 entries; online entry is available and a limited number of on-the-day places may be offered subject to availability.
Prizes are awarded to the fastest male and female in each age category at each event, with an additional prize for the most improved runner across all three events. The format encourages returning across the series to compare performances over the three dates. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
