Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival 2026
The Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival takes place in Kirkcaldy on 29 and 30 August 2026 with events centred on Beveridge Park and Dunnikier Park and routes that visit local parklands, coastal path and the Waterfront. The half marathon route passes Beveridge Park, Dunnikier Park, Ravenscraig Park, the coastal path and historic Dysart, and includes a mix of hills, flats and downhills with about 236 m of elevation overall.
Trail races use woodland and parkland tracks around the Dunnikier area and the golf course perimeter. Surfaces include grass, tarmac, gravel, soft trail and field edge, so footwear selection should reflect mixed terrain. Event organisers list results from past years and note live radio coverage of the half marathon via K107FM and information on rolling road closures.
A child-focused K107 Superhero Fun Run offers a short, accessible course where children may run, walk, skip or use walking aids; bikes and scooters are not permitted. The fun run operates on a pay-as-you-please basis with a suggested Crowdfunder donation of £3 and encourages superhero costumes.
The festival also includes an Event Village with family activities, merchandise such as hoodies, T shirts, vests and caps, volunteer involvement across the weekend, and an official charity partnership with Maggie’s Fife. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
