Sunday LSD GOAT run with 15km

Left Handed Giant Run Club organizes a Long Slow Distance (LSD) group run that starts and finishes at Commune Cafe in Temple Hill, Bristol. The main advertised route is 15 km and the surface is road. The venue provides bag drop and toilets. Participants are advised to bring water, snacks, and a phone for safety and personal arrangements.

The club runs with volunteer leaders and provides both a front runner and a back runner to keep the group together. The session uses regular regrouping and sensible hill-walking; the group waits until everyone has reassembled before proceeding. As a guide, the front of the group aims for roughly 5:45 to 6:15 min per km but leaders adapt to the group on the day.

The event lists multiple distance options and gives guidance on continuous running ability for each route: be able to run about 6 km without walking for the 10 km route, about 8 km without walking for the 15 km route, and about 15 km without walking for the 20 km route. The runs are volunteer-led and intended to keep the group moving together rather than to race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
