Stonington Cross Country 5K

The event takes place at Stonington High School in Pawcatuck, Connecticut. It includes two running events and is co-hosted by the Town of Stonington Parks & Recreation Department.

The course begins on the track with one lap, then continues with a half mile on quiet dead end streets within the school campus. Runners then move onto trails that include a mix of single-track and double-track sections. The route leaves the trails for grass running surfaces, crosses a bridge, and finishes at the 50-yard line on the track.

Distances

  • 5K race on a mixed course of track, campus streets, trails, and grass.
  • Children's 1/2 mile for ages 10 and under, starts with one track lap.

Registration is free for both events. The 5K is open to all ages. The children's race is restricted to participants age 10 and under. Registration and the course start are located on the track at Stonington High School. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
