Stockport Trail Half Marathon 2027
This event is a trail half marathon held on the Middlewood Way near Marple, Stockport (SK6 7RE) on 21 February 2027. The race distance is 13.1 miles / 21.09 km and the course is a relatively flat pan-handle out-and-back. The outward section runs along the old Marple to Macclesfield railway, then crosses onto the Macclesfield canal towpath before returning via the Middlewood Way.
Race HQ is close to the start and finish and houses registration, parking information and port-a-loos. The official race start is a short walk from Race HQ, adjacent to the Middlewood Way car park on Wood Lane; there will be a place to leave bags at the race start. Several car parks are available nearby and in Marple town centre; full parking details are sent in the race pack.
Registration opens at 08:00 on race day. There are no entries on the day and the entry limit is 500 runners. The minimum age for entry is 17. There is no formal cut off time, though organisers ask to be notified if a runner expects to take longer than 3 hours 15 minutes so marshal cover can be planned.
Timing is by chip and race numbers are collected at Race HQ. Prizes follow UKA guidelines with awards for overall, veteran categories from V40 in five year bands, and team prizes.
